Xunwei ITOP-I.MX8M Mini is a development platform developed based on NXP's I.MX8M Mini.
We have also made many innovations on the i.MX8M Mini development platform. One important point is that the ITOP-I.MX8M Mini core board power management adopts the PMIC power management chip PCA9450A newly developed by NXP. It has 6 step-down regulators, 5 linear regulators and a load switch. It provides a more reliable guarantee for the stable operation of the entire system. The core board has passed electromagnetic compatibility, electromagnetic radiation, safety regulations, high and low temperature environment testing, and adopts a stamp hole connection method, which is more stable and reliable.
Strong performance: Adopts Cortex-A53@ quad-core CPU with a main frequency of up to 1.8GHz, and supports a Cortex-M4 400MHz core microprocessor, with high performance and high computing power.
Codec: Equipped with 1080P@60Hz H.265 and VP9 decoders, the encoding efficiency is 50% higher than that of H.264.
Rich audio interface: Supports IIS, AC97, TDM, PDM, SPDIF, supports 5 SAI channels, and can be configured with IIS, AC97, TDM, so that the audio interface is not restricted.
Low power consumption: Multi-core heterogeneous CPU, built-in a Cortex-M4 core with a main frequency of 400MHz, can be used for low-power, real-time task processing applications.
Stable supply: Stable supply, i.MX8M Mini processor is included in the NXP product long-term supply plan, and at least 10-15 years of supply cycle is guaranteed.
The resources of the baseboard are very rich, including Gigabit industrial-grade Ethernet, MIPI-DSI, CAMERA, USB HOST, WIFI/BT, 4G module, CAN, RS485, etc.
i.MX8M Mini does not have a CAN controller, so we have introduced a CAN interface through the CAN control chip; the network port is an adaptive network port that can adapt to 10M, 100M, or 1000M.
On the Xunwei iTOP-i.MX8M Mini development board, the system supports Android 9.0 system; Linux 4.14.78 + QT 5.10.1 system.
Android 9.0 can not only directly allocate CPU core usage, operating frequency, background running resources, etc., but also increase the management rights of background applications at the bottom of the Android 9.0 system, deeply reduce the waste of system software and hardware resources, and reduce overall power consumption. Later, we will also adapt Debian system and Ubuntu system to the development board. The system driver source code is fully open source, and a development and use manual is provided with long-term stable updates, and the information is continuously upgraded.
