Recommend a 2A synchronous DC-DC step-down converter that provides class-leading EMI performance across a wide range of input and output voltages. These devices are ideal for a wide range of product applications, including home appliances, industrial electronics, telecommunications equipment, power tools, office equipment, and consumer products such as TVs and set-top boxes.
Switching DC-DC converters typically generate a lot of EMI in designs. The chip uses frequency spread spectrum (FSS) technology with ±6% switching frequency jitter, coupled with proprietary gate driver technology, to achieve best-in-class EMI performance in the industry. This design supports single-layer PCBs and does not require vias, which can further reduce EMI. The proprietary gate driver design further enhances the product and helps reduce switching node ringing without sacrificing MOSFET turn-on and turn-off times.
The fully integrated device uses high-side and low-side MOSFETs with very low on-resistance RDS(ON), equipped with proprietary gate driver technology and compensation network. The chip uses pulse frequency modulation (PFM) technology to provide excellent efficiency of up to 88% under light load (5mA output current) and the lowest quiescent current can reach 22?A.
The wide input voltage range of 3.8V to 32V supports variable output voltages from 0.8V to VIN, or fixed output voltages of 3.3V or 5V. All devices can provide a maximum continuous output current of 2A. They can operate as LDO regulators with a 100% duty cycle, providing a regulated output voltage within 1% of the unregulated input voltage. All devices are designed to withstand input voltage surges of up to 40V for up to 400ms.
