The role of capacitors [Copy link]

The functions of capacitors are: coupling, filtering, and bypassing. Can we understand it this way? Coupling is transmission, just like the function of connecting a small resistor; filtering is to use the charging and discharging of capacitors to improve the voltage ripple factor, that is, charging and discharging during the time t=rc; bypassing is to use the capacitive reactance of capacitors to divide the voltage under high frequency conditions, bypassing the signal of the frequency characteristic to the ground. I don't know if my understanding is correct, and I hope you can give me some advice.

I think it is very difficult to choose capacitors when designing circuits. Sometimes I feel that the waveform is not right if it is just a little bit off.   Details Published on 2020-3-25 22:26

I think so. But I still want to ask the experts on the board to explain. Learn from it!

Filtering is used to filter out the AC component to make the output DC smoother. Generally, power supply rectification has more filter capacitors.
