Thanks. I read in some books that increasing the capacitance of the capacitor can reduce the ripple voltage. So where exactly is the ripple voltage reduced? I am a little confused about connecting the capacitor in series to the circuit. Also, does the highest voltage on it have nothing to do with the output voltage? I am a little confused.
