Play with "ultra-energy-saving, high-precision, machine learning core" motion sensors [ST MEMS sensor competition]
LSM6DSOX is a motion sensor from ST that includes a 3D MEMS accelerometer and a 3D MEMS gyroscope. It integrates a machine learning core to take over the first stage of motion tracking from the main processor, which can save energy and reduce consumption, and speed up the operation of sports applications such as fitness records, health monitoring, personal navigation, and fall detection applications. Its typical operating current is only 0.55mA ( >> Click here to view more ).
The 2020 ST MEMS Sensor Creative Design Competition invites friends to play with this new 6-axis motion sensor with "ultra-energy saving, high precision, and machine learning core" - LSM6DSOX. In addition to providing the hardware platform for free, the official also provides online live broadcast and other support~ Interested friends, let's go~
How to Apply
From now until March 23, click here to fill out the competition registration form and submit a feasible idea based on LSM6DSOX, and you will have a chance to get the LSM6DSOX development kit for free. If you complete your idea, you will also have a chance to win a DJI drone, a Go Pro waterproof sports camera, a Kindle and other prizes.
(ps: In the application form, you can also choose whether to apply for the bone vibration sensor LIS25BA according to your own situation )
Kit Introduction
1. Click here to view the official website introduction of STEVAL-MKI109V3 (suitable for monitoring the behavior of various ST MEMS sensors)
2. Click here to view the official introduction of STEVAL-MKI197V1 (LSM6DSOX adapter board)
3. Click here to view reference application cases (wrist lift detection, phone approaching or moving away from ear detection, head movement detection, free fall detection)
Competition Support
1. Online training: ST will conduct online live training before and during the competition, so that everyone can more easily get started with the competition kit and solve the problems encountered in development~
2. Answering questions and solving doubts: During the DIY period, if you encounter any problems, you can go to the competition area to post questions. The enthusiastic moderators and engineers of the community will help to answer them in time. The administrators of the competition will also pay attention to them in time. For difficult questions, ST FAE will be invited to provide support.
Competition Gifts
The awards for this competition will be based on a scoring system with a full score of 100. (For details, please refer to: "2020 ST MEMS Sensor Creative Design Competition Works Submission and Award Rules" )
