   1. Introduction to 10G Ethernet Protocol

The 10Gbps Ethernet standard was formally formulated by the IEEE 802.3 working group in 2000. 10G Ethernet uses the same format as the previous 10Mbps and 100Mbps Ethernet, which allows direct upgrade to high-speed networks. It also uses the frame format and flow control method of the IEEE 802.3 standard. In addition, 10G Ethernet uses the same management objects defined by the IEEE 802.3 group as Ethernet.
