2. Research background, purpose and function of the work, and market application prospects:
      According to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, in 2016, the population of China aged 60 and above was 230.86 million, accounting for 16.7% of the total population; the population aged 65 and above was 150.03 million, accounting for 10.8% of the total population. According to the classification standard of the United Nations World Health Organization for an aging society, China has entered an aging society, and paying attention to the physical and mental health of the elderly has become a primary issue.
      With the rapid progress of the aging of the world's population, people are able to accompany the elderly less and less, so the demand for intelligent care will increase accordingly. The rapid development of science and technology has brought many conveniences to people's lives. Through the intelligent care pillow, the elderly are provided with health services and companionship, which makes the elderly less lonely and their children more at ease.
      The application of robots in medical and family health care is regarded as the most explosive new market in the robot industry. The output value of nursing robots accounts for about 10% of the overall robot industry, second only to military, agricultural and construction robots, and ranks fourth in overall output value. However, there are only more than 10,000 professional nursing robots in use worldwide. The number of elderly people over 60 years old in China has exceeded 200 million, accounting for 14.9% of
the total population . The intensification of aging and the decline in the growth rate of the accompanying young and middle-aged population have opened up market space for home care robots. Nursing robots are gradually entering people's field of vision, and their development will continue to change the traditional way of family care and elderly care. With the innovation and breakthrough of household robot technology, it will become an emerging industry in the future.
3. What highlights can be reflected in the works in terms of innovation, fun, practicality and even public welfare?
(1) The pillow is light and small in size. Compared with traditional heavy robots, it is low-cost and easy to carry and place.
(2) The vital signs of the elderly are regularly detected and sent to their children's mobile phones via text messages through the GSM module, so that the life, health and safety of the elderly are more guaranteed.
(3) The pet pillow is used as a carrier instead of a mechanical robot, which is more friendly.
(4) It supports intelligent voice reminders. The voice interaction module outputs voice under the control of the central system to remind the elderly to take medicine on time and in the right amount, and regulate their work and rest time. The voice interaction module also provides the elderly with a variety of entertainment functions such as singing, storytelling, and opera singing, reducing the loneliness of empty-nest elderly.
(5) It has a wireless charging function, which can facilitate the use of smart products by the elderly and improve the safety of product use.

This design uses the HT32F1656 microcontroller as the core. The design and implementation principles of the smart nursing pillow for the elderly are as follows:
(1) The vital signs of the elderly are regularly detected and sent to their children's mobile phones via the GSM module in the form of text messages, so that the life, health and safety of the elderly are more guaranteed.
(2) Voice interaction with the elderly. Through voice recognition, users can use voice input to select different functions: singing, telling stories, singing opera, etc.
(3) Support users to input voice commands to set time for daily affairs such as work and rest time and medication time. When the time is up, the voice playback module can be used to remind the elderly of relevant matters, which is conducive to reminding the elderly to take medicine on time and in the right amount, reminding daily affairs, regulating the elderly's work and rest time, and helping the elderly develop good living habits.
(4) GPS positioning can be performed, and the elderly's movements can be obtained through text message inquiries to prevent the elderly from getting lost and ensure their personal safety.
(5) The pillow can be wirelessly charged, which can facilitate the use of smart products by the elderly and improve the safety of product use.
