Electric energy measurement plays a very important role in the huge energy system. With the continuous development of energy technology, people pay more and more attention to energy measurement. The importance of accurately measuring the power consumed or generated and monitoring the power quality is increasing day by day.
This design uses ADI's high-precision, three-phase power measurement chip ADE7878 for power measurement, including measurement of active, reactive and apparent power. It realizes voltage and current effective value measurement, power factor measurement, and power quality measurement functions such as voltage drop, overvoltage and overcurrent detection, and phase sequence detection.
ADE7878 Features and Benefits:
• High accuracy, supports EN 50470-1, EN 50470-3, IEC 62053-21, IEC 62053-22 and IEC 62053-23 standards
• Works with three-phase, three-wire or four-wire (delta or star) Compatible with other three-phase configurations
• Measures total (fundamental and harmonic) active/reactive/apparent power and fundamental active/reactive power in each phase and the entire system
• Dynamics at 1000:1 at 25°C Active and reactive power error less than 0.1% over range
• Active and reactive power error less than 0.2% over dynamic range 3000:1 at 25°C
• Supports current transformers and di/dt current sensors
