On October 29, Xiaomi launched two new models, Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, at a new product launch conference, both equipped with Goodix's ultrasonic fingerprint recognition solution. This is the first time that ultrasonic fingerprint technology has become standard for all Xiaomi mainstream models. According to Goodix, the solution is based on its independent intellectual property rights and innovative CMOS sensor architecture, as well as wafer-level acoustic layer processing technology. It not only significantly improves the accuracy and speed of unlocking, but also greatly optimizes the supply chain manufacturing process and accelerates the popularization of ultrasonic fingerprint technology. Since the beginning of this year, Goodix's ultrasonic fingerprint solution has been successfully applied to multiple models of vivo, Xiaomi and iQOO, becoming a must-have for flagship mobile phone experience upgrades.
Xiaomi Mi 15 is positioned as a small-screen flagship, with a starting price of 4,499 yuan. It is 71.2 mm wide and weighs 191 grams. It is available in lilac purple, light grass green, black and white. It adopts an integrated aviation aluminum frame design, equipped with a 6.36-inch four-narrow-edge straight screen, a resolution of 1.5K, and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi Mi 15 Pro is positioned as a large-screen all-around flagship, with a starting price of 5,299 yuan, equipped with a 6.73-inch equal-depth four-curved screen, a resolution of 3200x1440, a maximum brightness of 3200 nits, and covered with Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0, with a 1-120Hz LTPO variable refresh rate. Both new phones are equipped with Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition processors, using TSMC's second-generation 3nm process, and are equipped with Leica Summilux optical systems, supporting ultrasonic fingerprint unlocking.
Also released this time are the Xiaomi Watch S4 and Xiaomi Mi Band 9 Pro. These two wearable devices also use Goodix Technology's health sensor technology, support real-time heart rate and blood oxygen data monitoring, and further enrich Xiaomi's "people, cars, and homes" smart ecosystem products.
