The mobile platform will enable 5G connectivity to 2.8 billion smartphone users in some regions1, delivering peak download speeds of 1 Gbps, seven times faster than LTE platforms typically used in devices of the same price point2.

Major OEMs including Xiaomi and its brands will be the first to adopt the second-generation Snapdragon 4s, and the first commercial devices are expected to be available before the end of the year.
SAN DIEGO, July 30, 2024 - Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. today announced the launch of the second-generation Snapdragon® 4s mobile platform, designed to make 5G more popular and reliable. This new platform once again demonstrates Qualcomm's commitment to driving progress with engineering innovation, leading the world's evolution from 4G to 5G, and empowering communities and industries . The second-generation Snapdragon 4s also has a wealth of enhanced features, including robust CPU performance that supports seamless multitasking and productivity, dual-band NavIC that supports high positioning accuracy, AI-enhanced audio, and entertainment experiences such as smooth gaming and powerful video streaming.
