iQIYI denies Apple and Android dual standards: some Android models cannot adapt to digital copyright protection solutions

      Recently, a netizen from Sichuan revealed that when watching "Full House" on iQiyi with an Android phone, the highest resolution only supported was 720P. The person concerned said that at first he thought it was because he did not have a membership. After becoming a member, he found that it still only supported 720P. However, the film supports 1080P on Apple iPhone.

　　After testing, iQIYI's "Full House" supports 1080P on Apple iPhone and computer clients, but not on Android phones. iQIYI customer service responded that Android phones do not have 1080P resolution and will report this to a dedicated person.

　　Today, iQiyi responded to China Business News that there is no double standard and iQiyi has always been committed to providing high-quality audio-visual services to all users. This situation occurred because the digital copyright protection solution adopted by the copyright holder of the film made some Android models unable to adapt to 1080P resolution.

　　On May 26, iQiyi released its financial performance report for the first quarter of 2022. The financial report shows that the net profit attributable to iQiyi in the first quarter was 170 million yuan, which is the first time that iQiyi has achieved profitability since its establishment. For the profitability in the first quarter of this year, iQiyi said that it was mainly due to five measures: the construction of high-quality content, refined operations, improved efficiency, strengthened sales capabilities, and the closure or reduction of businesses with no future development space.
