      Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 8+ flagship processor on May 20, and OSOM subsequently announced on social media that it will soon launch a new Snapdragon 8+ flagship product, which will be named OSOM OV1.

  It is reported that OSOM is the youngest mobile phone brand at present. The founding team of this brand once worked at Essential, which was founded by Andy Rubin, the father of Android.

  At the beginning of 2020, Essential, founded by Andy Rubin, announced that it would cease operations. Subsequently, his team resigned and founded a new brand OSOM, which stands for "Out of Sight, Out of Mind".

  According to Phone Arena, OSOM's first flagship mobile phone OV1 was originally planned to use the Snapdragon 888 processor, but now the new product uses Snapdragon 8+ instead, and the release time has been postponed to Q4 this year.

  It is reported that Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ chip uses TSMC's 4nm process. Compared with Samsung's 4nm process, TSMC's 4nm process has a higher yield and better power consumption control.

  Specifically, the Cortex-X2 super-core of the Snapdragon 8+ CPU has a maximum main frequency of 3.2GHz. While the performance has been improved, the power consumption of the Snapdragon 8+ has also been greatly optimized. Officials said that the CPU power consumption has been reduced by about 30% compared to the Snapdragon 8, and the GPU power consumption has been reduced by up to 30%. The overall power consumption of the platform has dropped by about 15% compared to the Snapdragon 8.

  With the support of Snapdragon 8+, the performance of OSOM OV1 is worth looking forward to.
