Recently, Yutai Microelectronics officially launched another in-vehicle chip, the in-vehicle Gigabit Ethernet physical layer chip YT8011 series. This series of products has completely independent intellectual property rights and is an Ethernet transceiver compatible with the in-vehicle Ethernet 100M 100BASE-T1 and Gigabit 1000BASE-T1 standards, supporting IEEE802.3bw and 802.3bp protocols.
The YT8011 series can provide all necessary physical layer functions to transmit and receive Ethernet packets through a pair of differential shielded or unshielded cables. The series uses high-speed DSP technology and analog front end (AFE), including ADC up to 750MSPS and DAC up to 3GSPS. It also has functions such as polarity detection and correction, adaptive equalization, echo cancellation, timing recovery and error correction. Data transmission between MAC and PHY is carried out through a simplified Gigabit Media Independent Interface (RGMII) or a serial Gigabit Media Independent Interface (SGMII). It can support Energy-Efficient Ethernet EEE and 1588 time synchronization protocol.
Judging from the test results, the YT8011 series has excellent performance. The transmission distance of gigabit high-speed bidirectional data stream on CAT5E low-cost unshielded twisted pair cable reaches more than 60 meters, which can fully meet the application requirements of high-speed data transmission such as radar, surround view, and autonomous driving.
It is worth mentioning that 1000BASE-T1 is a standard for high-speed data transmission in vehicles developed by IEEE in recent years, and its commercial chips are gradually being used in high-end models. The launch of the YT8011 series marks that Yutai Microelectronics has reached a new height in Ethernet physical layer technology.
With the development of intelligentization in the domestic automobile market, the proportion of automotive-grade chip equipment in body parts continues to increase, resulting in a rapid increase in demand for automotive chips. Yutai Microelectronics insists on deepening its technology in the field of in-vehicle communication chips, and has completed the tape-out of the first test chip at the beginning of its establishment in 2017, and launched the first in-vehicle chip system YT8010 in one fell swoop, and has obtained AEC-Q100 GRADE1 certification and OPEN Alliance interoperability certification (C&S international certification). After five years of polishing, Yutai Microelectronics has not forgotten its original intention and has been working hard to help the development of domestic chips.
