It has been nearly half a year since Moto released its last E series smartphone (Moto E30), and now we have heard that the new phone in the series may skip the name of Moto E31 and be directly called Moto E32. Although it is not the first time that someone has mentioned Moto E32 on the Internet (FCC, EEC, Wi-Fi Alliance and NBTC certifications, etc.), it is speculated that this move may be to make the name of the new phone consistent with the year number 2022.
This week, well-known Indian whistleblower Sudhanshu Ambhore teamed up with Bestopedia to share the first batch of images of the new entry-level Moto E32 phone.
It can be seen that while continuing the E series family design style - such as the vertically arranged rear triple camera - you will notice that the position of the LED has been slightly adjusted only by observing it yourself.
In addition, the main camera lens on the top of the Moto E32 looks much larger than the other two secondary cameras, and the texture and color of the back cover panel may also be completely different from the predecessor.
In terms of configuration, Sudhanshu claims that the screen size of the phone has increased from 6.5 inches to 6.6 inches, but it is unclear whether it will support 90Hz high refresh like the Moto E30.
Considering the market positioning of Moto E32, it is more likely to adopt an IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution and retain the centered punch-hole front selfie camera (Moto E30 has an 8MP front camera).
In terms of processor, Moto E30 uses Unisoc chipset, but it is reported that Moto E32 will switch to MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, and the rear camera is 50MP main camera + 8MP secondary camera + 2MP depth sensor.
The battery is expected to be 5000 mAh (supporting 10W charging power), but as an entry-level new phone, Moto E32 may remove the 3.5mm headphone jack (meaning it will need to be paired with USB-C/Bluetooth headphones).
As for the launch date, Moto E32 may officially land in emerging markets in Asia and Europe in May 2022 (North America is more likely to welcome the Moto G series), but Sudhanshu did not completely rule out the possibility of a launch in late April.
Finally, it is said that the phone will have two storage options: 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM / 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM, priced at approximately 10,000 / 15,000 Indian rupees (835 / 1,252 RMB).
