According to Zhongguancun Online, industry chain sources revealed that BOE will provide 50 million 6.1-inch screens for Apple's iPhone 14 this year, basically accounting for 25% of the total annual output.
The report pointed out that this is the first time that BOE has provided panels for the current iPhone. Previously, it only supplied panels for the previous generation of resale or repairs.
Previously, market research firm Omdia predicted that BOE's OLED market share will exceed 10% for the first time in 2022.
In addition, Korean media reported that BOE has set a goal of producing OLED panels for the iPhone 15 Pro series next year. The company hopes to achieve this goal by successfully applying LTPO technology to OLED panels and will produce OLED panels at its latest factory B12 in Chongqing.
