A new leak suggests that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra flagship phone may feature a Sony image sensor and may ditch the Samsung sensor found on the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.
According to information obtained by SamMobile, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, codenamed l1, may use the Sony IMX8xx main camera instead, equipped with a disc-shaped triple camera, including a 50MP main camera, a 48MP 5x telephoto camera, and a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
IT Home learned that previous news said that Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be equipped with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, equipped with a centered hole-punch 2K Samsung flexible OLED screen, built-in 4860mAh large-capacity battery, and support 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The camera is expected to be jointly with Leica.
Last year's Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra used a 50 MP Samsung GN2 main camera, upgraded two IMX586 auxiliary lenses, supported full-focus 8K, had a 120x periscope telephoto lens (48MP, 10x) and a 128° ultra-wide-angle lens (48MP)
