Guangdong Xin Semiconductor: As of late January, cumulative shipments exceeded 300,000 pieces

According to Southern News Network, Guangdong Xin Semiconductor has now fully resumed operations and is increasing production to meet market demand.

According to reports, Chen Wei, president and CEO of Guangdong Xin Semiconductor, said that shipments in 2021 increased by more than 168% compared with 2020. As of late January this year, cumulative shipments since the factory was built have exceeded 300,000 pieces.

CanSemi is a local independent innovation enterprise in Guangdong Province. It is also the first and only 12-inch wafer manufacturing company in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to enter mass production. The first phase of CanSemi's project started in March 2018, was completed and put into production in September 2019, and achieved full production in December 2020. The second phase of the project will add a monthly production capacity of 20,000 pieces, and the technology node will be extended to 55nm process.

In November last year, Chen Wei revealed that after the third and fourth phases are put into production, the company will strive to reach a monthly production capacity of 120,000 pieces by the end of 2025.
