Recently, OnePlus overseas community officials officially confirmed that the official support for OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T has ended. After this, these two phones will no longer receive any official patch updates.
According to official statements, after three years, a total of more than 60 closed beta versions and more than 30 open beta versions, OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T will officially stop official software support, which means that these two phones will officially stop updating.
In the OnePlus domestic community, some users pointed out that unlike the Hydrogen OS used in the domestic OnePlus 6 series, the overseas version of the OnePlus 6 series uses Oxygen OS, and said that the difference in system will inevitably lead to different update strategies, so they believe that the domestic version will not announce a suspension of updates.
But at the same time, as the only model in the OnePlus series that has not been upgraded to ColorOS in recent generations, it remains a question whether OnePlus 6/6T can receive subsequent system update support.
The OnePlus 6 series is the flagship series of mobile phones released by OnePlus in 2018.
This series of mobile phones are equipped with Snapdragon 845 processor as standard and are equipped with Hydrogen OS 5.1 system developed based on Android 8.1. Among them, OnePlus 6 adopts notch screen design and supports up to 8+256GB storage combination; OnePlus 6T adopts water drop screen design and supports up to 10+256GB storage combination.
