European semiconductor sales increased 26.3% year-on-year to US$4.267 billion in November 2021

According to evertiq, a report from the European Semiconductor Industry Association (ESIA) showed that European semiconductor sales reached US$4.267 billion in November 2021, an increase of 26.3% over the same period last year.

The European semiconductor market grew 3.1% month-on-month in November compared to October 2021. Globally, semiconductor sales in November 2021 were $49.69 billion, up 1.5% month-on-month and 23.5% year-on-year. These results confirm the strong growth of the European and global semiconductor markets in 2021.

According to the report, discrete devices, analog devices, and sensors & actuators were the three best performing categories in Europe in November, growing by 4.8%, 4.7%, and 3.9%, respectively. The memory market also achieved some growth, up 1.1% month-on-month. In addition, global sales of dedicated semiconductors grew strongly by 4.5% month-on-month, especially the growth of automotive semiconductors, which far exceeded the average level, reaching 4.9%.
