On December 16, 2021, Schaeffler Group and Zhenqu Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. signed an investment and strategic cooperation agreement, and the two parties will cooperate in the field of new energy vehicle electric drive systems.
Public information shows that according to the cooperation agreement, the two parties will leverage their respective technical advantages in the fields of new energy vehicle powertrain, motor controller and power semiconductors, and jointly develop products such as electric drive axles, and plan to start mass production of the first pilot project in 2023. At the same time, Schaeffler will also invest in Zhenqu Technology and participate in the B round of financing of this innovative technology company.
Founded in 2017, Zhenqu Technology is a high-tech company dedicated to providing electric drive solutions for new energy vehicles, as well as its core sub-components, motor controllers and power semiconductor modules. In the four years since its establishment, relying on its industry-leading design, testing and supply chain integration capabilities, Zhenqu Technology has successfully developed a number of high-performance motor controllers and self-developed power modules for new energy vehicles that have successfully entered the supply systems of many first-tier OEMs and parts suppliers at home and abroad.
