Apple announced today that the Mobile ECG Atrial Fibrillation Alert software and the Mobile Pulse Rate Atrial Fibrillation Alert software have been launched in China with watchOS 8.3 and iOS 15.2.
Mobile ECG Atrial Fibrillation Alert App and Mobile Pulse Rate Atrial Fibrillation Alert App combined with Apple Watch can help users identify signs of atrial fibrillation.
The mobile ECG AF Alert software allows customers to create a single-channel ECG on their watch, similar to a Lead I ECG.
To record an ECG, users can launch the mobile ECG Atrial Fibrillation Alert app on Apple Watch and hold down the Digital Crown with their finger. After 30 seconds, the heart rhythm will be classified as Atrial Fibrillation (AFib), Sinus Rhythm, Low or High Heart Rate, or Uncertain.
When an irregular heart rhythm is detected, the Mobile Pulse Atrial Fibrillation Alert software will issue an alert of the possible presence of atrial fibrillation in a timely manner when there is sufficient data for analysis.
The mobile ECG Atrial Fibrillation Alert app is available on Apple Watch Series 4 and later (excluding Apple Watch SE) and requires the latest versions of iOS and watchOS.
