When communicating with the media in Romania a few days ago, Derek Yu, President of Huawei Consumer Business Group for Central and Eastern Europe, Northern Europe and Canada, revealed that the new Mate model is ready and is expected to be launched in 2022.
He also mentioned that the new foldable screen mobile phone will be announced to the public soon.
The so-called new Mate should be the Mate 50 series. As for the foldable screen phone, it is generally believed that it will be the Mate V, Huawei's first clamshell foldable screen phone. And from the signal released by Derek Yu, the Mate 50 series will be released globally, including in Europe and other markets, and will be pre-installed with the Hongmeng operating system.
As for the configuration information of Mate 50, it is still very mysterious. Judging from Huawei’s current situation, it is highly likely that it will be pre-installed with the 4G version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip. It will only be able to "return to full power" after 5G-related issues are resolved by themselves.
