There have long been rumors that OPPO will launch a foldable smartphone. According to the whistleblower Digital Chat Station, OPPO's first ever foldable phone will adopt an inward folding design.

It is said to be able to unfold into a tablet, just like the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Huawei Mate X2.

The whistleblower revealed that it will support a 60Hz refresh rate and a centered punch hole design. On the other hand, the internal folding screen will support a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and have a punch hole in the upper left corner. The source previously revealed that the 7.8-inch to 8-inch main screen is of LTPO type.

The device will ship with ColorOS based on Android 11 and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. A new Weibo post published earlier today claims that the phone will have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The rear camera module will be similar to the Reno6 series. The phone will be equipped with three rear cameras, including a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor, a 16MP Sony IMX481 sensor, and a 13MP Samsung ISOCELL S5K3M5 sensor.
