On the evening of September 3, Jufei Optoelectronics announced the company's recent investor research activities. During the activities, the company introduced the status of several main businesses.
According to him, the company's automotive LED business continues to perform well, and the new Mini/Micro LED and invisible light businesses are progressing smoothly. Mini LED products have been recognized by the market for their advantages of high color gamut, high brightness, high contrast, and stable quality and performance, and are being supplied in batches with customers; Micro LED technology research and development reserves and cooperative development with key manufacturers are progressing normally as planned.
Jufei Optoelectronics stated that although the company's backlight LED used in high-end mobile phones has been partially eroded by OLED screens, and affected by the global chip shortage and the overseas epidemic, mobile phone shipments have declined and market competition has become increasingly fierce, but the company has also made full use of existing product technologies and actively deployed related product lines to achieve continuous expansion of small and medium-sized backlight application areas.
In addition, the company's Mini LED backlight products have been in mass production since last year. The current large-volume Mini backlight products are used for TV backlight sources, and Mini direct-view displays are becoming more and more popular in the market. The largest end customers are all the company's existing key customers. Affected by the global epidemic and the economic environment, market demand has not yet fully started.
In terms of automotive LED business, with the rise of new energy vehicles, the high-tech LED applications have led to a continuous and substantial increase in the overall automotive LED usage. Jufei Optoelectronics said that up to now, many large terminal manufacturers have actively sought domestic LED packaging factories to discuss business cooperation opportunities, and it is expected that the company will usher in a market segment with greater growth space.
In addition, with the growth of consumer demand for security monitoring, 3D sensing and surveillance tracking in smart sensing terminals such as smart wearables, consumer electronics, and new energy vehicles, Jufei Optoelectronics' invisible light business has progressed smoothly, and has been recognized by many first-line smart wearable brands. It has made gratifying breakthroughs in the field of smart sensors, and its VCSEL products have been applied in industries such as consumer electronics, laser sensing, and security monitoring.
