On September 2, Tianhua Super Clean announced that in order to continuously improve the capacity layout of the new energy lithium battery material business field and further expand the battery-grade lithium hydroxide production capacity, Tianhua Super Clean and the Management Committee of the Ganmei Industrial Park in Meishan City, Sichuan Province (hereinafter referred to as "Ganmei Industrial Park") intend to sign a project investment contract to build an annual production capacity of 60,000 tons of battery-grade lithium hydroxide production line and related production facilities and supporting facilities. The total investment of the project is expected to be RMB 2.5 billion.
It is reported that the project will be built in two phases, with each phase building a production capacity of 30,000 tons of battery-grade lithium hydroxide. The project is expected to start in the second quarter of 2022, and both phases will be completed and put into production by the end of December 2024.
Tianhua Super Clean stated that this investment is in line with the company's medium- and long-term development plan, which is conducive to the company's improvement of the lithium battery material industry layout, consolidation and enhancement of the company's core competitiveness. The company will implement the project construction in phases according to the contract. This investment will not affect the normal development of the company's main business and the normal implementation of the raised funds investment project, and there is no situation that damages the interests of the listed company and all shareholders.
In terms of performance, Tianhua Super Clean achieved revenue of 1.431 billion yuan in the first half of the year, an increase of 87.86% year-on-year; and achieved a net profit of 313 million yuan, an increase of 66.57% year-on-year. The interim report shows that Tianhua Super Clean has three major business areas: anti-static super-clean technology products, medical equipment products, and new energy lithium battery materials. From the perspective of business development in the first half of the year, the company's new energy lithium battery materials business grew rapidly, and the anti-static super-clean technology and medical equipment businesses grew steadily.
