United Optoelectronics: AR/VR shipments increased year-on-year in the first half of the year

On August 31, United Optoelectronics stated in an interaction with investors that the company's current AR/VR customers include Pimax, Dapeng, and Nader. In the first half of 2021, the company's AR/VR shipments increased significantly year-on-year, and the annual shipments will be higher than the whole of last year.

Regarding the company's private placement and investment projects, United Optoelectronics said that the company's private placement and investment projects are mainly "new display and smart wearable product manufacturing projects". After the project is completed and put into production, it can achieve an annual output of 18 million sets of automotive lens products, 2 million sets of new projection lens products and 580,000 sets of VR/AR all-in-one machines. At present, there is no cooperation with Tencent in VR.
