Recently, North (Tianjin) Systems Co., Ltd. announced that it has successfully completed nearly RMB 400 million in equity financing. This round of financing was jointly completed by Zhongke Investment Group and Tianjin TEDA Haihe Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Development Fund. This financing will help North further increase its investment in new product research and development, and provide customers with products and services covering the entire frequency band, with better performance and high reliability; it is expected to fully accelerate the release of production capacity within one year, reaching an annual production capacity of 2 billion filter chips, and help the development of the domestic RF chip industry.
Founded in 2011, North is one of the few domestic high-end bulk acoustic wave filter suppliers with large-scale stable delivery capabilities, stable production yield, complete product range and high product performance. After more than ten years of research and development, the core team has created a new ICBAR technology route by using new materials, new structures, new processes, new design concepts and methods. It has applied for and authorized 505 patents in the domestic and international BAW field, including 146 PCT patents, and has established strong technical barriers and first-mover advantages in filter design, device structure, process, packaging and other aspects. At present, North's patents rank first in the domestic BAW RF chip field.
At present, North has developed and matured more than 500 products, and the products also have a variety of packaging options, mainly WLP chips, plastic packaging, and ceramic shell packaging. While ensuring excellent performance, it will further provide more flexible and cost-effective RF chip options for end customers. North's series of products have gradually entered the supply chain system of many well-known mobile communication terminal product brand manufacturers and ODM manufacturers at home and abroad. As of July 2021, the cumulative shipments of North bulk acoustic wave filter chips have exceeded 500 million.
In 2021, North's business is on an upward trend, and product competitiveness and business revenue are both greatly improved. The inflow of new funds is bound to bring new momentum to the rapid development of the company's business.
