According to a domestic digital blogger, a Redmi high-cost-effective engineering machine has appeared recently. It is equipped with an MT689X chip, a 120Hz refresh rate screen, a rear 64-megapixel main camera, a built-in 5000mAh battery, and supports 67W fast charging.
Previous news showed that the MT689X uses TSMC's 6nm process and has an architecture similar to the Exynos 1080. It adopts a "1 + 3 + 4" solution. The CPU core is ARM Cortex A78 and the GPU is Mali G77. The AnTuTu running score can reach over 600,000 points, which is comparable to flagship chips.
At present, it seems that this new Redmi phone is very likely to become the first model of MT689X. It is expected to be positioned similarly to the Redmi K40 gaming enhanced version and may be officially released in the second half of the year.
