Pioneer Group may build a semiconductor equipment industrial park in Nansha, Guangzhou

On June 28, Nansha District of Guangzhou held a signing ceremony for major projects at the Pearl Bay Bridge, as well as a ceremony to mark the commencement of construction and completion (commissioning) of the bridge.

On that day, 76 major projects were signed, started, or completed, with a total investment of 116 billion yuan and a total output value and revenue of more than 230 billion yuan.

According to a news release from Guangzhou Nansha, Xie Xiaohui, vice chairman of the Nansha District CPPCC and director of the Nansha District Commerce Bureau, introduced that this signing has three "new" features. The first is new technology, including Pony.ai's unmanned heavy-duty trucks and Hycan's production base; the second is new business formats, including Pioneer Semiconductor R&D and production projects; and the third is a new model that leverages Nansha's previous automotive industry advantages and extends links upstream and downstream.

At present, Nansha is actively promoting the integrated innovation of the third-generation semiconductor and new energy vehicle industries, establishing a third-generation semiconductor innovation center, and forming a third-generation semiconductor full industry chain from wafer production to chip design, packaging and application represented by Jinko Electronics, Xinyue Energy, and Aisway, and led by Lianjing Intelligent and Xinju Energy, providing "core" energy for the development of the future 300 billion new energy vehicle industry cluster.

The Bay Area Semiconductor High-end Equipment Intelligent Manufacturing Base is a modern semiconductor equipment industrial park that Pioneer Group plans to invest in Nansha. After the project is completed, it will have the comprehensive production capacity of various types of coating deposition equipment, magnetron sputtering equipment, ion etching equipment and turnkey projects. Pioneer Group currently has core patents and process technologies, and the project products will have 100% independent property rights to meet the needs of domestic substitution in the semiconductor industry chain.
