Silan Micro plans to purchase 9 12-inch wafer epitaxial furnaces, testers and other equipment for RMB 46.31 million

On June 21, Silan Microelectronics stated in the "Announcement on Related Transactions Regarding the Purchase of Equipment from Related Parties" that its holding subsidiary Chengdu Silan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. plans to purchase 9 12-inch wafer epitaxial furnaces, testers and other equipment from its related company Xiamen Silan JiKe Microelectronics Co., Ltd. The total transaction amount is 46.3117 million yuan (excluding tax).

As of December 31, 2020, the audited total assets of Silan Jike were RMB 382,247 million, liabilities were RMB 138,299 million, and net assets were RMB 243,948 million. The net profit for 2020 was -38.33 million. Silan Jike was still under construction in 2020 and had no main business income.

As of March 31, 2021, the unaudited total assets of Silan Group were RMB 407,496 million, liabilities were RMB 167,587 million, and net assets were RMB 239,909 million. From January to March 2021, the operating income was RMB 65.10 million, and the net profit was RMB -40.39 million.

Silan Microelectronics stated that Chengdu Silan is a large silicon epitaxial wafer manufacturing base invested and built by the company in the Chengdu-Aba Industrial Concentration Development Zone. The 12-inch wafer epitaxial furnace, tester and other equipment purchased from the related party this time are required for the normal production and operation of Chengdu Silan, which can save procurement cycles, reduce production costs, improve equipment operation capabilities, enhance 12-inch wafer epitaxial wafer manufacturing capabilities, and promote the development of the company's main business.
