Previously, an investor asked Ruichuang Micronano on the interactive platform whether it would be impacted by the shortage of chip supply this year. If so, what are the upper and lower limits of the impact, and how to effectively deal with it.
On June 21, Ruichuang Micronano stated on the interactive platform that the 8-inch MEMS wafer production line jointly built by the company and the wafer foundry has a production capacity of 1,500 wafers per month, and can produce 3.6 million chips of various types annually. At present, the production capacity is sufficient, the supply chain is normal, and there is no situation where production and delivery are affected by chip shortages.
At the same time, the investor also mentioned that "a lot of manpower and financial resources have been invested in the research and development of refrigerated infrared products, and the main customer base of this product is the military. What is the reason for expanding into refrigerated infrared products, and is there corresponding order demand support?"
In this regard, Ruichuang Micronano stated that in the field of refrigeration infrared, the company successfully developed a 15μm 640×512 long-wave type II superlattice chip in 2020, which is now entering the design verification test stage; the domestically produced refrigeration core FX640G has entered the design verification test stage; the miniaturized refrigeration core FX640S has entered the engineering verification test stage. So far, the company's refrigeration products are all in the development stage, with a small number of prototype orders, but the contribution to revenue is not large.
Yantai Ruichuang Micro-Nano, founded in 2009, focuses on the field of infrared imaging. Its core technologies cover four major areas: integrated circuit chips, sensitive thin film technology, MEMS sensors and advanced vacuum packaging. It has been authorized and accepted for a total of 662 intellectual property projects. On July 22, 2019, the company was successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
In 2015, Ruichuang Micronano released the first 14-micron 1024 x 768 infrared detector chip in China; in 2017, it released the first 12-micron 1280 x 1024 detector chip in China; in 2019, it released the world's most advanced 10-micron megapixel infrared detector chip, becoming the world's second company to master 10-micron uncooled infrared technology.
It is understood that Ruichuang Micro-Nano has successfully developed the world's first uncooled infrared thermal imaging detector chip with an 8-micron pixel pitch, and has completed the engineering verification test phase. The chip has made breakthroughs in a series of core technologies such as low-noise readout circuits, high-uniformity vanadium oxide films, sub-wavelength optical absorption structures, and small pixel self-heating effect compensation, which can achieve higher spatial resolution and improve the ability to capture moving targets.
