Reading Notes on the Good Book "Electronic Engineer Self-Study Handbook" 05--Altium NEXUS [Copy link]

The last part of this book introduces PCB design Protel99se, which is classic but too old! I will also introduce some new content! Altium Designer is an integrated electronic product development system launched by Altium, the original developer of Protel software, and mainly runs on Windows operating system. But I don't want to introduce this because there are a lot of information on the Internet. I want to introduce Altium NEXUS---the online version of Altium Designer!

Altium NEXUS represents decades of innovation and development, committed to creating a truly unified design environment that enables users to effortlessly connect to every aspect of the PCB design process. With transformative features and a growing community of users, advocates, educators, and experts, Altium NEXUS has truly changed the industry and pushed the boundaries of possibility. Experience the world's best PCB design products for yourself and see why engineers and designers are more likely to choose Altium than any other available product. This is their propaganda, doesn't it feel very good... But-------------------------I think most companies that choose AD are not because of its advancedness but because of its price! ! ! (Or the result of cracking down on piracy ) This is the interface below, using a network library, but it is generally very stuck, so that I am afraid to call components from the library, because it is very slow and easy to crash (definitely not a network problem), and it takes up a lot of memory!

The 3D effect is pretty good! This is his highlight!

I feel that it can be used but it is also quite annoying! The component library networking operation is very slow, it takes up a lot of memory and is very bloated. The advantages are that the price is moderate, the rules are not very strict, and you can secretly make some package modifications without updating the library (this is my favorite), it is in line with national conditions, ordinary boards can be used, and you can feel the illusion of "high-end" server version!

Finally, I would like to thank EEWORLD and the author for providing me with this book. I learned a lot from it!

The online version? Is it the same as the Lichuang version?

I haven't used Altium yet. Altium NEXUS also has a web-based project management system where administrators can manage the entire design team.   Details Published on 2021-8-30 14:13

In fact, the reputation of AD is not very good now. Many people who used AD have switched to some domestic PCB software.

Yes, I hope that domestic EDA can catch up as soon as possible step by step!  Details Published on 2021-8-30 14:17
