Apple released iOS 15 this week, adding a useful new feature: the ability to drag and drop images, text, files, and more between apps on the iPhone.
iPads have offered cross-app drag and drop since 2017, and Apple finally expanded the feature to iPhones with iOS 15.

Drag and Drop
With support for cross-app drag and drop, you can pick up images, documents, and files from one app and drop them into another.
To drag and drop on iOS 15, just long-press on an image, text, or file, then without lifting your finger, use a second finger to swipe out of the app and open another app. Then, let go of the image, text, or file to drop it into the other app.
In many apps, you can drag a single item with one finger and select other items by tapping them with another finger while dragging. The selected items move together and are stacked underneath the finger that dragged the original item. You can then drag and drop these items as a group into another app.
