On May 25, Shenzhen Guowei Fuxin Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guowei Fuxin") held an opening ceremony in the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone in Shenzhen.
Shenzhen SMIT Group reported that Chairman Huang Xueliang said that SMIT Group has made certain achievements in building a domestic digital EDA full-process platform since it took over the national major science and technology project in 2018. SMIT Group has now established a wholly-owned subsidiary, SMIT Fuxin, in the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone. Based on the existing EDA tool platform of the group, it will further expand the development of EDA tools for the production and manufacturing end, make up for the shortcomings of the domestic digital EDA full-process platform, and promote the healthy development of the domestic integrated circuit industry system.
Ouyang Huiyu, deputy mayor of Futian District, said that integrated circuits are one of the key industries cultivated by the country. With the help of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, a major characteristic platform, the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Cooperation Zone has gathered a large number of excellent integrated circuit companies, and the "Bay Area Chip Valley" strategy has taken shape. In the future, with the strong support of relevant municipal departments, the Futian District Government is committed to building the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Cooperation Zone into a domestic IC design and EDA tool research and development highland, and contributing to the development of the integrated circuit industry.
Founded in August 2020, SMIT Fuxin is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SMIT Group. With an initial planned investment of 500 million yuan, it develops production-end EDA tools such as testability analysis design tools, reliability design tools, manufacturability design tools, and yield design tools based on the EDA tool platform supported by the 01 project. By collaborating with foundries and domestic equipment manufacturers, it is committed to building a domestic digital integrated circuit full-process EDA tool system and realizing large-scale application.
