According to Jiwei.com on May 21, Li Kaixin, former president of 360 Mobile Phone Company, has officially joined OnePlus as vice president.
Liu Zuohu said that Li Kaixin had successfully led Huawei's China region and built sales of tens of millions of units from scratch, making him a veritable "veteran" in the field of mobile phone sales. In the future, I can focus more on making good products and leave the job of selling mobile phones to him.
In response to netizens' questions about his decision to withdraw from the mobile phone market, Li Kaixin publicly said that "360's decision not to make mobile phones is a pain in my heart and in my team's heart, and it was not because I led the team to kill this business. In fact, one year after I took over, the business had stopped bleeding and started to grow healthily. Later, the company decided to shut down this business for other reasons."
Li Kaixin said that 360 is still doing well now, but it just doesn’t make mobile phones anymore.
It is reported that Li Kaixin joined Huawei in 1996, served as the vice president of Huawei's mobile phone sales in China in 2005, joined Honor in 2013, and left Huawei Honor in 2016. During his tenure, he led the team to achieve annual sales of Huawei mobile phones in the tens of millions. In May 2016, Li Kaixin joined 360 and was promoted to the president of 360 Mobile Phone Department in December of the same year, taking over the full operation of 360 mobile phones. In September 2019, 360 officially announced its withdrawal from the mobile phone industry.
