According to foreign media AndroidPolice, just the day after Motorola pushed the first batch of Android 11 updates to Moto G8 and Moto G8 Power, Moto Edge + finally received the Android 11 update and the first security update in three months.
Moto Edge + users will get a lot of new features brought by Android 11, such as chat bubbles, conversation notifications, etc. This update also fixes some major bugs on Moto Edge +, including the inability to make calls or connect to data when using the 5G network of US operator Verizon. Motorola also brought Android's March security patch to Moto Edge + and improved the way data traffic is measured when using mobile hotspots.
IT Home learned that Moto Edge + was exclusively sold by US operator Verizon in May last year. After that, Motorola promised to update Android 12 for Moto Edge +, but considering that the Android 11 system was launched in September last year, it took Motorola a full 6 months to update the system for Edge +, so it may be difficult to see a major update for this phone again before 2022.
