HTC VIVE officially released a tweet on March 5, warming up the upcoming new VR head-mounted display. The picture shows a close-up of the logo, and it can be seen that the display surface is made of frosted plastic.
IT Home learned that HTC's latest VR headset was released in 2020, named Vive Cosmos and Cosmos Elite. This product is priced at 5,899 yuan, and the elite version is priced at 4,588 yuan. It has multiple camera sensors for positioning and tracking, and does not require an external positioning tracker. The display has a binocular resolution of 2880 x 1700, supports wearing glasses, has a refresh rate of 90Hz, and a field of view of 110 degrees.
A foreign media recently exposed the renderings of the new HTC Vive product. It can be seen that the product adopts a simpler appearance design, and the translucent mask has a hidden camera, which is more fashionable and modern. HTC internally calls the next generation VR headset project "Project Proton", suggesting that the user experience of this product is very similar to that of ordinary glasses, and it is expected to have AR augmented reality function, which can see real images.
