Xiaomi tops Spanish smartphone market in Q4

Data from third-party market research firm Counterpoint show that India's smartphone market shipments hit a record high in the third quarter of 2020, and continued the growth momentum in the fourth quarter. In 2020, India's smartphone market shipments reached 150 million units, a slight decrease of 4% year-on-year, but this did not have much impact on Xiaomi.

Counterpoint said that Xiaomi's year-on-year growth in the fourth quarter of 2020 was 13%, and it regained the top spot. Xiaomi cooperated with several EMS (electronic manufacturing services) manufacturers to increase production and released a number of high-end new products. In addition to the continued hot sales of the Redmi 9 and Redmi Note 9 series, as well as vigorous promotions during the holiday season, Xiaomi's performance in the quarter was outstanding. In 2021, in addition to accelerating offline expansion, Xiaomi will continue to focus on the mid-to-high-end market and seize more market share.
