This morning, Honor officially released its first product of 2021, the Honor V40 5G smartphone.

The press conference received special attention from the industry because it was the first press conference held by Honor after its independence from Huawei. On November 17 last year, Huawei announced the official sale of the Honor mobile phone brand. Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology Co., Ltd. has completed the comprehensive acquisition of Honor brand-related business assets, and Huawei no longer holds any shares in the new Honor company.

At the press conference, Honor President Zhao Ming said that Honor had gone through a very difficult but meaningful time in the past five months. He also said that suppliers have fully resumed cooperation, and Honor smartphone products will be fixed in the mid-to-high-end in the future. The Honor V40 5G is the first answer sheet handed in by the new Honor.

It supports DCI-P3 wide color gamut display, 120Hz screen refresh rate, 300Hz screen touch sampling rate, and supports German Rhine Global Eye Protection Certification 2.0 technology.

In terms of processor, the Honor V40 5G uses the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor, supports dual 5G standby, and comes with the Honor Magic UI 4.0 smart system based on Android 10 installed at the factory.
