On January 23, Huawei held its annual online conference with the theme of "Together, Start Again". At the conference, Huawei's Sports and Health Science Laboratory was unveiled for the first time and three major health research projects were announced.
Huawei has built several sports health science laboratories in Shenzhen and Xi'an, with professional competition-level test sites and sports test systems, as well as cross-disciplinary R&D teams spanning sports human science, bioengineering, sports, medicine and other disciplines, to continuously conduct cutting-edge testing and research in the wearable industry.
Huawei also released three major pre-research projects, including hypertension management research, intelligent body temperature health research, and coronary heart disease screening research, and opened the Huawei Sports Health Science Laboratory to bring further exploration in the field of sports health research.
Huawei is currently developing a wearable blood pressure measurement device with home medical-grade high-precision blood pressure measurement as the core. At the same time, it will also launch a new research project with well-known domestic institutions - hypertension management research. The goal is to explore innovative active health management of blood pressure from screening to early intervention based on Huawei's wearable blood pressure measurement device.
Hypertension Management Research
In addition, Huawei has currently made breakthroughs in continuous body temperature detection technology based on smart wearables, using high-precision temperature sensors to accurately measure wrist skin temperature. Huawei is also conducting joint research on smart body temperature to provide abnormal body temperature screening capabilities.
In terms of cardiovascular health research, Huawei is conducting joint research on intelligent screening and early warning of coronary heart disease. With the medical-grade ECG acquisition capabilities of Huawei smart watches, and the integration of PPG and ACC data, intelligent screening and early warning of coronary heart disease can be achieved, which can effectively manage heart health and prevent the occurrence of cardiovascular diseases.
In 2021, these health studies will be launched or released based on Huawei wearable products, and are expected to be officially available to everyone soon.
