Recently, when Xiao Chen was riding the Hangzhou Metro Line 1 at the West Lake Culture Square Station, a pornographic picture suddenly appeared on his mobile phone. The picture was accompanied by some provocative text and a QR code business card.
It turned out that Xiao Chen's iPhone had the AirDrop function turned on, and someone sent him this indecent picture through the "AirDrop" function.
After receiving the pictures, Xiao Chen immediately reported the case to the police, who eventually identified the suspect as Xiao.
On January 14, the police summoned Xiao to the police station, where he confessed to spreading obscene information. Xiao said he thought that the public security authorities would not be able to detect the obscene images he sent through the iPhone's wireless transmission function, so he took a chance.
It is understood that Xiao used the "AirDrop" function on his mobile phone to randomly send pornographic pictures to uncertain groups of people, violating Article 68 of the "Public Security Administration Punishment Law of the People's Republic of China" and was suspected of spreading obscene information, and was administratively detained for 15 days.
AirDrop was launched as early as 2013. It is a unique feature of Apple's iOS, iPadOS and macOS systems. It is used to share files between multiple devices. Just drag the file to the avatar of a friend using the AirDrop function to perform a one-to-one file transfer (similar to wireless network transmission).
If you want to turn it off, just pull down the control switch interface, long press the network tile in the upper left corner, click AirDrop, and select Receive to turn it off.
