Jiuhai Semiconductor Co., Ltd. was established in December 2019 with a registered capital of 10 million. Liu Tao, marketing director of Jiuhai Semiconductor, introduced to Jiwei.com: "In addition to being used in industrial control fields such as IoT gateways and industrial automation, Jiuhai products can also be widely used in consumer electronics, medical equipment, automotive electronics, and smart energy. In 2020, Jiuhai launched 5 new APM32 series industrial-grade general-purpose MCUs, which have strong anti-interference, stable and reliable performance, and good portability. They have been successfully used in batches in four leading industrial control companies in China."

The APM32 series of industrial-grade general-purpose MCUs from JIHAI are based on the ARM® Cortex®-M0+/M3/M4 cores, and feature low power consumption, high performance, high integration, good portability, and high customer acceptance. The operating temperature range covers -40°C~+105°C, and the ESD level is up to 8KV, which can adapt to various harsh working environments. The product has passed IEC61508 certification, supports industrial-grade MCU+security chip product combinations, and meets industrial-grade and automotive high reliability standards. The product has passed USB-IF certification and can meet the export needs of customer terminal products. At the same time, JIHAI also has a rigorous quality control system throughout the entire life cycle, which can effectively ensure the consistency and stability of the product.

At present, JIHI MCU products have been successfully applied to consumer electronics, medical equipment, industrial control, automotive electronics, etc., such as electric bicycles, motor control, blood oximeters, ticket printers, sweepers, wireless chargers, rangefinders and sensors.

In addition to the above five MCU products, this year, Jihai also launched five Dachuan GS series industrial Internet SoC-eSE security master control chips for the high-end industrial Internet field, which can be widely used in important security fields such as smart networks, high-end industries, CNC devices, and industrial control core equipment. Liu Tao said: "Dachuan GS400 and GS300 (which have obtained the national secret level 2 certification) have been mass-produced and have been used in batches in the only domestically produced independently controllable Pantum printer master control chip and smart energy terminal equipment, and have made major breakthroughs in the two 'bottleneck' technology fields of printing information security and network information security."

It is understood that the Dachuan GS series industrial Internet SoC-eSE security main control chip is based on the domestically produced Pingtouge Xuantie CPU, supports dual-core, 4-core to 7-core multi-core heterogeneous architecture, and adopts the internationally advanced and domestically leading embedded eSE security unit technology, so that a single chip has both security and main control functions, which can achieve multi-in-one security protection and effectively resist IoT security threats such as side channel attacks, error injection and physical attacks. Compared with many traditional multi-chip solutions on the market, it has higher integration, lower power consumption and higher security.

At present, it can be widely used in important security fields and industrial control core equipment such as smart networks, high-end industries, and numerical control devices. In the future, it will also be expanded to more important industries that have an urgent need for autonomous control, such as energy, transportation, communications, and finance.

It is worth mentioning that although the entire semiconductor industry was hit by the epidemic in 2020 and the Sino-US trade issues brought greater uncertainty to the semiconductor industry, this also accelerated the pace of domestic substitution, and Jiuhai Semiconductor also seized new development opportunities under this wave.

Relying on the platform resource advantages of its parent company Apex, Jihai has a R&D team of more than 300 people with 20 years of experience in the integrated circuit industry. It can continuously optimize and improve product processes, enhance product performance and execution efficiency, and reduce MCU operating energy consumption. At the same time, the products have wide compatibility and good portability, which helps engineers reduce workload, shorten design time, and reduce customer production costs.

According to Liu Tao, Jiuhai has a national CNAS laboratory and has established a complete chip testing and verification process. It can customize reliability testing solutions according to customer needs. It also supports the product's full life cycle quality control system, which helps to ensure product quality, reduce product defective rates, and reduce product production costs. In addition, Jiuhai also has an industry-leading upstream and downstream supply chain, which can ensure the stability of the supply chain and effectively shorten the delivery cycle.

Regarding the 2021 target planning, Liu Tao said: "In order to adapt to the development trend of market applications and meet the diversified application needs of customers, Jihai will prepare to define and design mid-to-high-end MCU products based on the Cortex-M4/M7 core for the high-end industrial control field, as well as industrial-grade MCU+security, MCU+authentication and other combination products; for consumer electronics, Jihai will focus on high-end IoT chip businesses such as MCU+Bluetooth, MCU+sensor, MCU+WiFi, etc., to provide customers with more chip product solutions for different application scenarios.
