Recently, a netizen posted that his Huawei mobile phone with 256GB of space was suddenly full overnight, when the daily usage was only about 120GB. Upon investigation, Tencent Weishi App log files with the largest size of 144GB were found.
In response to this, Tencent Weishi officially responded.
Tencent has confirmed that some users have recently experienced device space being occupied by abnormal logs when using Weishi.
After technical investigation, it was found that the problem was caused by a bug in the log component of the Android version of Weishi, which has been fixed as soon as possible. The iOS version is functioning normally.
Tencent also deeply apologizes for the inconvenience and trouble caused by this issue.
Android users who have encountered this problem can use the device's system file management tool to clear all log files under the path "/Internal Storage/tencent/WeiShi/logs". This operation will not affect the normal use of Weishi.
Tencent also emphasized that network equipment, systems and applications will generate relevant logs on local devices during use. Weishi will also clean up the log files regularly and will not actively send them back to the server.
