On November 12, Zepp officially announced that it will hold a global online press conference at midnight on November 18, Beijing time, to release the new flagship smartwatch Zepp Z. Judging from the official poster of Zepp, the new Zepp Z adopts the traditional mechanical watch design, which is more business-oriented.
The Zepp brand was born in Silicon Valley in 2010. It focuses on smart sports hardware and has industry-leading sensor algorithms and sports modeling technology. Previously, it has been focusing on the North American sports market. This conference is also the first time that Zepp has met global consumers after upgrading its brand positioning.
In July 2018, Huami Technology, a Chinese wearable brand ranked among the top in global shipments, acquired the core assets of Zepp. In August this year, Zepp announced a brand upgrade with a new logo and brand image, focusing on "health". The new Zepp will integrate its software and hardware capabilities, based on big data reserves and AI algorithm systems, to create a borderless health management platform for everyone.
