According to foreign media Appleinsider, the AirPower wireless charging pad plan may have been shelved, and the latest news says that Apple has canceled the project.

Well-known whistleblower Jon Prosser cited relevant sources as saying that Apple recently removed the prototype design and testing of AirPower from its 2021 plan. "Sources doubt whether it will be activated again. AirPower seems to be dead again."

Appleinsider points out that this also means that the project may have been postponed indefinitely.

IT Home learned that AirPower was announced in 2017 and is a special wireless charging pad that can charge multiple devices at the same time.

“AirPower did not meet our standards and we canceled the project,” Dan Riccio, Apple’s senior vice president of hardware engineering, said in an email last March.
