On September 28, the groundbreaking ceremony for the second phase of the Kunming Ziguang Xinyun Industrial Park data center project was held in Yunnan Province.
The second phase of Kunming Unigroup Core Cloud Industrial Park will mainly focus on the planning and construction of the Unigroup Cloud Southwest Data Center around "cloud", "network" and "intelligence". At the same time, it will create international A-level standards, and bring together international "Internet +", big data, cloud computing, 5G and other new ICT field technologies to provide Yunnan Province with comprehensive information infrastructure operation services and value-added operation services, promote Yunnan's industrial structure adjustment and actively improve the big data ecosystem.
The second phase of the project is scheduled to achieve the first phase completion acceptance in August 2021 and be officially delivered in December 2021. After the data center is delivered, the annual output value is expected to reach 180 million yuan.
The second phase data center of the Tsinghua Unigroup Core Cloud Industrial Park will be built around blockchain applications to become a blockchain computing center. It will also be built around Tsinghua Unigroup's development in the southwest region to become the Tsinghua Unigroup Cloud Southwest Data Center and serve government, finance, banking, the Internet and other departments and units at all levels.
Kunming Unisplendour Core Cloud Industrial Park has a total land area of 135 mu and a total construction area of 160,000 square meters. The project plans a total investment of 6 billion yuan, which will be planned and constructed in four phases. Currently, an investment of 799 million yuan has been completed. Among them, the second phase of the project plans 4,080 cabinets, which will be built in three buildings, with 1,360 cabinets in each building, which can provide users with IT support services for various applications. Highly reliable system monitoring and protection meet the strict requirements of various IDC companies for data center computer rooms.
