With the official release of Xperia 1 II and 5 II, the leaks about Sony Xperia 1 III have begun. The well-known Japanese publishing house ESATO said it had obtained intelligence from a trustworthy source.

"The Xperia 1 III's screen will have higher brightness (15% brighter than the Xperia 1 II), allowing for a brighter aperture on the front camera," the source said. However, the sensor size and pixel count are unlikely to change.

The report pointed out that although not much information was revealed, this was the first reliable leaked information about Sony Xperia 1 III.

According to feedback from netizens in multiple communities, the Sony Xperia 1 II's display is excellent in graphics display, but multiple review sites and users have stated that its maximum brightness is on the low side.

The maximum brightness of the Sony Xperia 1 II screen when manually adjusted is 373 nits, while the maximum brightness when automatically adjusted is around 600 nits. All flagship models currently on sale, except Huawei P40 Pro and Moto Edge +, are higher than this value.

It is worth mentioning that the Sony Xperia 1 II (as well as the Xperia 5 II) uses an 8MP f/2.0 front camera. Therefore, according to the source, the Xperia 1 III is likely to use the same 8MP f/1.8 or f/1.6 lens.
