Since the official release of iOS 14 last week, Apple has stopped signature verification for iOS 13.7, which means that it is no longer possible to downgrade to iOS 13 after upgrading to iOS 14.
Apple typically stops signing software updates for older versions after new versions are released to encourage customers to keep their operating systems up to date.
As of Monday, iOS 14 is already installed on about 26% of active iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices, and earlier today, the first jailbreak for iOS 14 devices was released. Due to new security measures taken by Apple, the jailbreak tool is only available for devices with A9 chips or earlier.
iOS 14 is the latest iOS version that users can currently download, but Apple has also submitted iOS 14.2 to developers and public testers. iOS 14.2 introduces a new Shazam music recognition feature to Control Center, along with some other Apple Music-related Control Center adjustments.
If you haven’t upgraded to iOS 14 yet, you should think carefully. After all, there is no more regret medicine now.
