Dutch technology blog LetsGoDigital exposed OPPO's multiple watch dial product design patents in different forms. The patent was applied for by OPPO to CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Administration) in September 2019 and announced on September 15, 2020, showing 3 different types of smart watches.
OPPO's patent shows a total of 3 different types of smartwatches, and the first design shows many similarities with the already launched OPPO watch. This smartwatch has a beautiful round display and a rectangular shell. There are many sensors built into the back and the necessary control buttons are installed on the side.
The second model shows many similarities with the first design. But this time a square design watch was chosen. The screen surface is slightly smaller than the first model and it is not a curved display. This may be a cheaper model. The sensors on the rear seem to be the same as the first model.

The third model is a round watch with a circular screen on all sides, which is also called a 3D curved display. This makes the watch look very unique and futuristic. This design may attract many female users and can also make a cool men's outfit with different types of straps. Another feature is that the crown is located on the right side of the watch, which is not visible in the rectangular and/or square models. A physical button is located just above the digital crown.
Among the current shapes of smart watches, rectangular and circular are the most common. The circular dial design in OPPO's patent is more rounded, like a pebble, and I believe it will be more comfortable to wear. I hope OPPO can bring it to market.
