The Vice Premier of the State Council inspected the Huahong Wuxi Integrated Circuit R&D and Manufacturing Base

From August 21 to 23, Han Zheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, conducted research in Nanjing, Suzhou and Wuxi, Jiangsu Province.

Han Zheng visited the Purple Mountain Laboratory of Network Communication and Security and the Unigroup Industrial Cloud Experience Center to inspect the development and application of Internet technology. He pointed out that it is necessary to strengthen top-level design, strengthen the integration of forces, innovate organizational structure and institutional mechanisms, improve policies and measures to attract and retain talents, promote the deep integration of industry, academia and research, speed up the filling of key core technology gaps, serve the country's major strategic needs, and promote the construction of a cyber power.

Purple Mountain Laboratory is a scientific research platform built by Jiangsu Province and Nanjing City to serve the country's major scientific and technological strategies. It has successfully developed the world's first large-scale network operating system, developed CMOS process millimeter-wave chips and large-scale antenna arrays with independent intellectual property rights, and opened the world's first network endogenous security test field.

Han Zheng visited Nanrui Jibao Electric Co., Ltd. and Huahong Wuxi Integrated Circuit R&D and Manufacturing Base to learn about the development of high-end manufacturing and strategic emerging industries. He encouraged enterprises to focus on their core businesses, aim at digitalization and intelligence, enhance their system integration capabilities and independent innovation capabilities, and promote the formation of an independent and controllable modern industrial system.

The Huahong Wuxi Integrated Circuit R&D and Manufacturing Base project, with a total investment of US$10 billion, is the first relay protection product project of Huahong Group to implement its strategic industrial layout outside Shanghai, and is also the largest single investment project in Wuxi. As a national-level integrated circuit R&D center, Huahong R&D Center also has the only 12-inch pilot line in China.
